Terms of Service

Last updated [EFFECTIVE DATE]. This version replaces any earlier one from that date.

This document is still being prepared with our legal advisers. Until it is published, please contact us with any question about how we work or how we handle your information — we will answer directly.

Ask us directly

Please read these terms before you book. They set out what you can expect from us, what we need from you, and what happens when a visit has to change. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book and we will explain it.

1. 1. Who you are contracting with

AkariHeal is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], a company registered in Thailand under registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER], with its registered office at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “AkariHeal” mean that company, and “you” means the person who books, pays for, or receives a treatment.

AkariHeal is a Beauty & Relaxation Studio. We provide facial care and related treatments, for beauty and for rest. We are not a clinic. Our specialists do not diagnose conditions and do not prescribe, and nothing they say stands in place of advice from a doctor or a pharmacist.

These terms apply when you book an appointment, buy a package or a gift card, or receive a treatment at the studio. Doing any of those things means you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not book.

In these terms, a “treatment” is one bookable service from our menu; a “package” is a fixed number of prepaid sessions; a “gift card” is a card or code issued by us carrying either a stored value or an entitlement to a package; and the “studio” means any AkariHeal location.

You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] to hold an account and book in your own name. We will serve a person below that age only where [MINOR CONSENT REQUIREMENT] is in place, and a parent or guardian must be contactable throughout the visit.

2. 2. Appointments, changes and cancellation

You can book through our website, on LINE, by telephone, or in person at the studio. Online bookings need at least two hours’ notice and can be made up to 90 days ahead. For anything sooner than that, message us on LINE and a member of the team will see what can be arranged.

A booking is a request until we confirm it. The confirmation we send records the treatment, the date and time, the location and the price. Please check it and tell us at once if anything is wrong.

You can move an appointment at no charge if you tell us at least [RESCHEDULE WINDOW] before it is due to start. Later than that we will still try to find you another time, but we may count the change as a late cancellation.

To cancel at no charge, tell us at least [CANCELLATION WINDOW] before the appointment. A cancellation after that point is a late cancellation, and [LATE CANCELLATION CHARGE] applies.

If you neither arrive nor tell us, that is a no-show, and [NO SHOW CHARGE] applies. Late cancellations and no-shows are recorded on your account, and we may ask for a deposit before accepting further bookings from you.

We may ask for a deposit of [DEPOSIT AMOUNT] [DEPOSIT REQUIRED WHEN]. The deposit comes off the price of the treatment. It is forfeited if you cancel late or do not arrive, and returned in full if we cancel, or if you cancel within the window above.

Please arrive a few minutes early. If you arrive more than [LATE ARRIVAL GRACE] late we may have to shorten the treatment so that the next guest is not kept waiting, and the full price still applies. If the time left is too short to do the treatment properly, we may move the appointment, and it counts as a late cancellation.

If we have to cancel or move your appointment, we will tell you as early as we can and offer you either the first suitable alternative or a full refund of whatever you have paid for it, whichever you prefer. Occasionally the specialist you asked for is unavailable; we will tell you before the visit, and you may keep the appointment with a colleague or move it.

3. 3. Prepaid packages

A package is a fixed number of sessions, paid for in full when you buy it. The number of sessions, the price, the validity period, and the treatments the sessions may be spent on are all fixed at the moment of purchase and recorded on your account.

Because those terms are fixed at purchase, a later change to our menu or our prices does not change a package you already hold. Equally, a price change does not entitle you to a refund of any difference or to extra sessions.

A package is valid for one year from the date of purchase, unless the plan you bought states a different period. The validity period is shown to you when you buy and on your account.

A session is used when a visit is completed. One visit uses at most one session. Sessions may only be spent on the treatments the package covers; if you choose something else, the difference is payable in the ordinary way.

We check the expiry date at the moment a session is used. Sessions still unused when the package expires are forfeited. As a courtesy we email a reminder 30 days and 7 days before expiry, but using the sessions in time is your responsibility, and a reminder that fails to reach you does not extend the package.

Extensions are not automatic and are not a right. Where we grant one it is at our discretion, on the basis set out in [PACKAGE EXTENSION POLICY], and it is recorded on your account.

A package belongs to the person who bought it. It cannot be transferred, shared, resold, or used by anyone else, and unused sessions cannot be exchanged for cash. [PACKAGE REFUND POLICY] sets out the only circumstances in which we refund a package.

4. 4. Gift cards

We issue two kinds of gift card. A value card carries an amount in baht that can be spent over one or more visits until it runs out. A package card can be exchanged, once, for the package named on it.

A gift card is valid for one year from the date it is issued. The expiry date is shown on the card and on the record we hold.

A value card may be spent in part. Any remaining balance stays against the same code and can be used until the card expires. If a visit costs more than the balance, the difference is payable in the ordinary way. A package card is exchanged in one step and cannot be split.

Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, we do not give change in cash, and a card cannot be topped up once issued.

Please keep the code safe. A lost code cannot be recovered, because we do not hold it in a form that can be read back. If you can show that you bought the card, we can cancel that code and issue a new one for the value remaining, on the basis set out in [GIFT CARD REISSUE CONDITIONS]. We never reprint an existing code. Until you tell us a card is lost we may accept it from whoever presents it, and we are not responsible for value spent by another person before you told us.

Value still unspent when a gift card expires is forfeited, and the card is closed.

5. 5. Prices, payment and receipts

Prices are in Thai baht, and are those shown at the studio or on our website at the time you book or buy. We may change our prices; a change does not affect a booking already confirmed, or a package or gift card already bought. [PRICE CHANGE NOTICE]

Prices are shown [VAT STATUS] value added tax. If you need a full tax invoice, please tell us before you pay so that we can issue it correctly.

Payment is taken at the studio, or by bank transfer to [BANK TRANSFER DETAILS] quoting the reference we give you. We do not accept card payments online. A transfer is matched to your booking only once the reference reaches us, so please send the reference with the transfer, or send us the slip.

Where we hold a time for you against a transfer, the payment must reach us within [TRANSFER CONFIRMATION WINDOW]. If it does not, we may release the slot.

We issue a receipt for every payment. Please check it before you leave and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.

Refunds, where they are due, follow [REFUND POLICY]. We return money by the route it was paid, to the person who paid, normally within [REFUND PROCESSING TIME]. Nothing in this section affects a right to a refund that Thai law gives you and that cannot be set aside by agreement.

6. 6. What you must tell us before a treatment

This section is a condition of service, not a formality. Our specialists choose products and methods from what you tell them, so complete and accurate information is what makes a visit safe for you. We rely on it.

Before every treatment you must tell us about: any skin condition, sensitivity or allergy, including reactions to cosmetic ingredients, fragrance, latex or adhesives; any cosmetic or dermatological procedure you have had, including acid exfoliation, laser or light-based procedures, injectables and microneedling, and when it was, in particular anything within [RECENT PROCEDURE WINDOW]; whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding; any medication, supplement or topical product that affects your skin or makes it more sensitive to light, including retinoids, exfoliating acids and prescribed courses for the skin; and any advice a doctor has given you about avoiding particular treatments.

Please keep this current. Tell us at each visit if anything has changed since the last one, and tell your specialist during the treatment if anything feels uncomfortable, hot, or unusually sharp. We will stop and check.

We may decline, modify, shorten or postpone a treatment on the strength of what you tell us, or ask you to return once you have [DOCTOR CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT]. We may also test a product on a small area of skin first, as set out in [PATCH TEST POLICY], and ask you to come back afterwards. This is a judgement our specialists are entitled to make, and it is made in your interest.

If we decline or change a treatment for this reason, that is not a cancellation by us. [DECLINED TREATMENT CHARGE] applies, and any package session or gift card value involved is handled as that policy sets out.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us. To the fullest extent Thai law permits, we are not liable for a reaction or an injury that follows from information you did not give us, gave us incorrectly, or gave us too late to be acted on.

If your skin reacts after a visit, tell us as soon as you can and in any event within [POST TREATMENT REPORT WINDOW], so that we can check what was used and help you decide what to do next. Please seek advice from a doctor or a pharmacist if a reaction is severe or does not settle.

We keep notes of what you tell us and what was used, so that each visit can build on the last. How those notes are handled, including notes about your skin, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

7. 7. Our responsibility, and its limits

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill, using trained specialists, clean equipment, and products stored and applied as their manufacturers direct.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for anything else Thai law does not allow to be excluded or limited. [LIABILITY CAP] and the paragraphs below apply only so far as Thai law permits.

Subject to the paragraph above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost income, profit or opportunity, or for wasted time or travel.

Subject to the same, our total liability arising out of any one visit is limited to [LIABILITY CAP].

Please look after your belongings. The studio does not hold property on deposit, and we do not accept responsibility for items you keep with you. We accept responsibility for an item only where it was handed to a member of staff for safekeeping and a record was made.

[CHILDREN POLICY] A child who comes with you remains your responsibility for the whole of the visit.

If something goes wrong, please tell us within [CLAIM NOTICE PERIOD], so that we can look into it while the facts are still fresh. Raising something with us does not affect any right you have under Thai law.

8. 8. Conduct in the studio, and refusal of service

The studio is a quiet, shared room. Please keep your voice and your phone low, and be considerate of other guests and of the people looking after you.

We may decline to begin, or may stop, a treatment where you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs; where you behave in a way that is abusive, threatening or sexually inappropriate towards our staff or other guests; where you have a condition that could pass to others; where you have not given us information we have asked for; or where an amount due has not been paid.

Where we stop a treatment for one of those reasons, [ENDED SERVICE CHARGE] applies, and a package session used for that visit counts as used.

Our specialists provide beauty and relaxation treatments and nothing else. Any suggestion otherwise ends the appointment immediately, is charged in full, and we will decline to take further bookings. We will report conduct of that kind to the authorities where it is appropriate to do so.

We may decline future bookings, or close an account, where a customer has repeatedly failed to attend, has left an amount unpaid, or has behaved as described above. Damage caused to the studio or its equipment is dealt with under [DAMAGE LIABILITY].

9. 9. Photographs

We take photographs only with your explicit consent, asked for separately at the moment the photograph would be taken. You can say no, and the treatment goes ahead in exactly the same way.

A photograph taken with that consent is used only as part of your visit record, so that your specialist can see how your skin has changed between visits. Any other use, including anything shown publicly or used in our marketing, needs a separate agreement from you, given for that purpose.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, from your account or by contacting us. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent, and the photographs are deleted.

Photographs of your face, and notes about your skin, are sensitive personal data under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act. How we collect, store, share, retain and delete them, and the rights you hold over them, are set out in our Privacy Policy rather than repeated here.

Please do not photograph or record other guests or our staff. If you do, we will ask you to stop and to delete anything already taken.

10. 10. The site and the brand

The AkariHeal name, logo and wordmark, and the text, photographs, design and code of our website, belong to us or to those who license them to us, and are protected under Thai and international law.

You may read, print and share our pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, adapt, republish or sell our content, collect data from the site systematically, or use it to train a system or build a competing service, without our written permission.

You may not use our name, logo or images in a way that suggests we endorse you, or that you are connected with us, without our written permission.

If you leave a review through our site, you allow us to publish it alongside your first name or initials, and to reply to it. We may decline to publish a review that names another customer or a member of staff, or that is unlawful, but we will not edit the substance of what you wrote.

11. 11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when the way bookings work changes, or when the law does. The version in force is always on our website, with the date it took effect at the top.

Where a change materially affects you, we will give at least [TERMS CHANGE NOTICE PERIOD] notice on the website and, where we hold your contact details, by email or LINE.

The version in force when you make a booking or a purchase is the version that governs it. A package or a gift card keeps the terms that applied when it was bought, for the whole of its life.

12. 12. Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of a treatment, are governed by the law of the Kingdom of Thailand.

If you are unhappy, please tell us first. Write to hello@akariheal.com and we will respond within [COMPLAINT RESPONSE TIME]. Most things can be put right this way, and we would far rather fix something than argue about it.

Where a dispute cannot be settled between us, it will be dealt with by [DISPUTE FORUM]. This does not take away any right you have to bring a claim under Thai consumer protection law.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply. Where a limit in these terms reaches further than Thai law allows, it applies as far as the law does allow, rather than not at all.

These terms are published in Thai and in English. If the two versions differ, [PREVAILING LANGUAGE] prevails.
